2009-03-03 - Album mastered, new video available!

We received the final mastered copy of our new record a week ago from Chartmakers. The album sounds really angry & gritty and we are damn proud of it! Every effort was made to keep the album sounding as organic as possible so we kept the copy/paste-operations at minimum during the mixing stage and didn't care about small mistakes if the take otherwise had a good attitude!

Also check out a short video filmed during the studio sessions (also including some clips of the new songs) here at MySpace.

2009-01-24 - All tracks for the new album are now finished!

All the bass and vocal tracks were completed on a couple of sessions during the weeks 4 and 5. Olli had absolutely no problems in laying down his parts and the bass sound that our engineer and all around aural mastermind Mikko Herranen got with Olli was gritty, dirty and tight at the same time!

Esa really growled his guts out..[a sound of corpses being grinded emanate from the sewers in the background]...during every session! Man really means it, no doubt about it. So, expect to hear some mean vocal performances mixed with the soothing sounds of cement trucks when we get the Final Product out!

And that's not all! Stay tuned for some video footage, recorded during these sessions, that'll appear here in the near future.

2009-01-14 - Guitar tracks for the 8 new songs finished!

The rest of the guitar tracks were completed on two short sessions on the first week of January. Some of the tempos turned out to be so fast that it is 100% sure that they will not be any faster live! And why? Because otherwise we can't play the damn parts with Olli with our less than Robocop-precise picking abilities! =)

That being said, we're definitely stoked on how the record is sounding even at it's current state. No slow stuff this time around, just full throttle all the way.

2008-12-25 - Drum tracks for 8 new songs finished!

We just completed the recording of all the drum tracks for 8 new songs (well at least 6 of them are brand new). We had studio time booked 19-21.12 just for the drums but because Jyty was in flames it only took two days for him (okay maybe one and a half) to record all the drum tracks!

Because the drum tracks were so well executed I was also able to finish the rhythm guitar tracks for 4 songs on 21.12 and this even includes doubling!

2008-10-26 - Vote for Coredust!

Coredust participates in Radio Rock's contest called 15 minutes of fame. If the votes keep coming, we might get a chance to play the 15 minute opening slot of the Unholy Alliance III gig (Slayer, Amon Amarth, Trivium and Mastodon) in the Helsinki Ice Hall. Now you can do your part and ensure that we get to warmup for the almighty Slayer!!

You can give us your vote here Vote for Coredust!

2008-09-30 - Rehearsing new material.

We are currently rehearsing and demoing some quite brutal sounding new material that will probably all end up on our first full length album. The recording of this album will start at the beginning of year 2009. We don't have a record deal yet so it remains to be seen when it will be published.

We probably also re-record some old demo songs but about 80% of the material is brand new and most of the songs haven't even been played live yet. Actually, some of the parts in these new songs are so difficult that it'll probably be a challenge to reproduce them live but this is the way to keep the band evolving, right? If you never challenge yourself why bother creating new music at all? =) Of course I'm exaggerating here a bit but anyway..

We'll definitely inform you about the details of the recording sessions here on our official site so keep checking back!

2008-09-30 - A new bit confusing review in Metal Eagle.

This review is in greek but we could notice two band names that were mentioned in the text and they were Nickelback and 3 Doors Down. Wtf?! =)

2008-05-27 - A new very positive review in the Vampire Magazine. This one is in english!

This review states among other things that "The music is rough, skilfully played and performed with great enthusiasm.". Who are we to argue with these comments!? =) Read the whole review here.

2008-05-19 - Yet another very positive Past Lives review in the latest Inferno magazine! Read it here (in finnish)

Coredust onnistuu ensimmäisellä demollaan loistavasti. Bändi veivaa progeilevaa metalliaan todella hienosti, eikä reklamoinnin aihetta löydy

Pienet vaikutteet mm.
